We will not tolerate participation in activities or behaviors that discriminate on the grounds of race, gender, age, marital status, religious beliefs, citizenship, mental and physical abilities or sexual orientation. All community members are to be treated with respect and dignity. We strive to be a welcoming and equitable place for everyone to enjoy the performing arts.

Fringe organizers will attempt to provide some storage space in the Laramie Plains Civic Center, but we cannot guarantee excess room to house your production pieces.
Can I apply with more than one show?
You are welcome to apply to Fringe with multiple productions. Please submit a $25 application fee for each show that you apply with and use a new application form for each submission.

While we will strive to accommodate as many artists as possible, we cannot guarantee that all productions will get accepted for a performance slot at this year’s Fringe.
How are artists selected?
Representatives from Wyoming Fringe organizers, including the LPCC, the Lyric, and select participating artists from previous years, will review the submissions and convene as a committee to decide which submissions will be selected for Fringe. Determination factors will include the alignment of your application with the Fringe ethos, venue availability, and any date or timing constraints that you may have.
Do I get paid to perform?
Artists will be compensated per performance based on grant funding, sponsorships, and ticket sales. Past Fringe Festivals have been able to provide participating artists $250 to $500.
Will I be able to offer comp tickets?
Artists are eligible for 2 free tickets to the festival to share!
What is the ticket price?
Festival Tickets for the general public will open for sale June 1st. Ticket prices are $25 for the general public and provide access to all events and performances on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.

Electronic ticket sales for the festival will be available at each venue entrance in the Laramie Plains Civic Center. For cash or card transactions, patrons will be sent to a designated centralized Fringe location.
Tickets for individual performances are not available.
Who schedules performances?
All performance dates, times, and locations are scheduled and confirmed by the Wyoming Fringe organizers about six weeks prior to the festival. In the application form, performing artists are asked to identify performance day availability, but do not determine venue or performance times.
When is the performance schedule released?
A draft performance schedule will be distributed to participating artists mid-July. The finalized performance schedule will be released two weeks prior to the festival.
How many performances will I have?
Artists can perform on one or both days of the Fringe weekend. In the application form, we ask you to identify your performance availability and preference.
How big will my audiences be?
Audience size depends on the capacity of your performance venue and on your own outreach/marketing efforts. Wyoming Fringe will publicize and market the festival while every participating artist markets their own show.
Do participating artists get to see other shows?
As a participating artist, you have access to the whole weekend of Fringe performances, including the Opening Event on Friday night. While Fringe performances will be scheduled concurrently, we will coordinate varied performance scheduling to allow for participation and viewing of fellow artist’s work. We encourage you to attend not only Friday night, but as many shows as you are able!
Where will we perform?
The Laramie Plains Civic Center is a large arts facility located in central Laramie with multiple venues including: The Gryphon Theatre (a modernized proscenium theatre), two gymnasiums, a ballroom, as well as outdoor gathering space and expansive hallways. Fringe Festival will make the best effort to schedule each performance in its best fit venue within our unique property.
What are the performance venues?
You can learn more about the LPCC spaces at: https://lpccwy.org/.
Do I get to choose my performance venue?
Wyoming Fringe organizers will designate performance venues for all participants based on the specifics of each production.
How do I get placed in a venue?
The technical information that you include in your application will help Fringe organizers determine the best venue for your show.
How does load-in and load-out work during the festival?
You have 15 minutes to load in, following the performance before you. When it comes to Fringe, simplicity is best. The tighter the load-in plan, the better! At the end of your performance, you will have an additional 15 minutes to load out to remove any props/sets, costumes, and other technical elements of your show out of the venue. It is important to stick to this tight schedule, as the group performing after you will be waiting to load in.
It is helpful if you show up in make-up and your costume base layer, assign specific tasks to each performer in your group, bring easily movable bins for props and set pieces, and build time into your rehearsal process to practice loading your show in and out!
Will Wyoming Fringe record or photograph my performance?
Fringe might photograph or record elements of participating shows for marketing, documentation, or archival use. We do not provide video services to record performances in their entirety, but artists are welcome to bring their own equipment for personal documentation.
Will My Show Be Reviewed?
We strive to acquire coverage from local news outlets prior to the festival. That said, we don't have established relationships with critics and cannot guarantee a review of your performance.
Is Fringe accessible?
We aim to make our festival accessible for artists and audiences. If you or someone on your team has disability-related needs, include that information in your application and we will take it into account when assigning venues.
What are Fringe’s important dates and deadlines?
Why is Wyoming Fringe in Laramie this year instead of Casper?
A Statewide Collaboration, Wyoming Fringe Festival is a partnership between The Lyric and the Laramie Plains Civic Center — two arts nonprofits working together to keep Wyoming’s performing arts scene bold, accessible, and alive. Fringe was founded in Natrona County and performed at The Lyric in its first two years; however, the festival is designed to circulate between Wyoming communities, expanding geographic access while strengthening artist-audience connections statewide.
2026’s Wyoming Fringe Festival will be at the Laramie Plains Civic Center on August 21-23.
Are there sponsorship or volunteer opportunities for Wyoming Fringe?
We welcome Fringe sponsors, partnerships, and volunteers ! To learn more, visit [LINK] and/or call (307)745-8000 or email [email protected].
